Went back to New Plymouth to climb Mt Taranaki, and also see how the te mounga exhibition was going! I now see first hand what an amazing sense of achievement you can get climbing a mountain! It wasn't easy but I wasn't leaving without getting to the top!
As part of the design for Resn labs we designed some digitally fabricated cardboard trees to accompany Resn's zero waste interactive for Subaru. It's amazing the effect you can get working with such a cheap material at a relatively low cost and very effective output. Can't wait to see these bad boys up in the space!
The consumer audio market is a tough one to crack, when working with an existing product, designing a display that will capture customers eyes and display the products full potential. This display has been designed with the consumer in mind, custom apps have been developed to play on a iPod that is directly mounted into the display. Can't wait to et this into duty free at Auckland international airport!!
It's a uprising how many details need to be reworked in order to get a multi touch plinth functioning properly. The guys over at Resn did a stellar job building the software for this interactive display to control customisation of evinrude motors by mapping a rear projection to the back of a 'floating' panel to create an interesting digital interactive experience. When digital meets physical build great things happen!
Things are happening with BJLW studio and Orbitsound
As part of a new venture with Orbitsound I recently travelled to China to communicate a new consumer audio product concept to 3Nod an audio manufacturing specialist in Shenzhen China.
For me this trip was a huge eye opener to what the industry can offer, through working with a British DFM specialist based in China I developed some awesome contacts and new take on dealing with international clients!
These renders are some concepts I produced for an exhibition I'm designing in Shenzhen for Resn a digital creative agency. Cardboard trees rear mounted projectors for floating touchscreens, this stuff is all part of a digital dream!
An old design from my second year at uni, great to see even the prototypes getting use! This piece is to be part my new furniture venture coming soon.

Development has now moved into a mock build of Te faceted walk in the studio! Things seem to be going smoothly at the moment finger crossed and some of the case work is being built back into the units! Come feb we will be installing!
The studio has had a wee bit of a makeover recently, including a new desk and table saw. Let's get creative
